Well, I couldn't get slackware to install with my raid 0 config. But... I did get openSUSE to install w/o any problems at all. Very straight forward, it setup the partitions correctly and even configured my 2 spare drives so that I could read the NTFS partition and get my files. I could listen to about 80% of my iTunes library because it was imported, but the music that was purchased and downloaded on iTunes wouldn't play. I did find a nice little program called QT Fair Use that removes the DRM from the files and I can now listen to my music that I purchased... doesn't that sound odd to you? The GUI w/hardware acceleration turned on is amazing, its is similar in a few aspects to both Vista and OSX and holds its own against the two of them, by far superior. Wine works great for running single windows programs, very simple to operate. I got xFire up and running, only 1 issue, the friends list appears as weird characters, but if you mouse over each name you can see who it is. I'm going to install WoW tonight and see if I can get it to run. Will report back later with more stuff Oh, btw... GOOD BYE WINDOWS.

What a beautiful thing, the problem is, does this work for your average non IT person?

absolutely, its super easy to setup. In fact, I think if I decide to switch my web server over to Linux I'll write up an article on how to install it with pictures to go along.
