So since i upgraded my computer hardware I've been getting various blue screens of death and i was curious if any of you smart techy friends of mine would be willing to take my computer for a weekend or however long it takes to figure out, or attempt to figure out what the problem is. I'd be willing to pay you a bit for working on it i can afford like 20-40$ maybe but i'm still poor from college so I don't have much. I will be coming home this weekend and could bring it by friday if you live in/near sweet home. Just give me a call or aim/msn me my # is 541-570-9265

I'll fix it for you... it might have a 486 DX in it when you get it back but it willbe running windows ( 3.1)...
Seriously - when is it giving you the blue screen? Do you have anything overclocked? I'd start by checking memory timings and such if it's been overclocked at all. Other than that have you done all the usual BIOS, driver, etc updates?
My last suggestion would be to start removing components until it stops giving you the BSOD... that is if you have anything besides the usual, MB, RAM, HDD, Vid Card, CPU in it.
If Jake doen't have time I'll take a look at it too, but he's the better choice if you really want it fixed right ;D
My last MB hated my RAM until I updated the BIOS. then it was smooth as silk.

I don't really have time to play mmo's anymore i found out it's just as fun to hang out with people IRL It could really be any of my hardware i completely replaced everything except my case and dvd/cd writer, and floppy disk.

CD, USB Drive, DVD? those aren't viable options? Heck I can even update my BIOS from windows now... That being said, I still have a couple on a shelf just in case

The only reason I have a floppy disk drive is because I need it to install my raid drivers when I install windows. When I DO install windows, I hopen up my box, plug a floppy in, and let it dangle for the installation process, then I throw it back in the closet.
Floppies should have been obsolete years ago. I'm hoping Vista will be the death of them.
