Hey you guys, esp those of you that are married, do you all have any ideas that would be fun to do for Joel's bachlor party? I think most of you or those that read at least brent/jake are going to be invited, however i think that we will have to stay out of the typical stripper in the cake seeing as we are supposed to be Godly men of upstanding moral character.

After talking with Jon we came up with a few ideas, let me know what you would be more interested in.
Sorry no lan party, About half of the people (besides you guys) dont know anything about computers.
Just south of Corvallis on hwy 99 there is a sporting clays and duck hunting place. It has server different stands and about 20 senerios for shooting skeet and target clays. I think everyone has shot a shotgun before and I can get some extra guns for those who do not own one. This would be an afternoon event and we could get together at one of my friends in crawfordsville for dinner afterwards.
The second idea involves a little more of a time commitment and will probly be an overnight trip to eastern oregon to shoot rabits, sage rats, and coyotes. I know of a few good spots thats publicly owned that have a good population of rabits. Since its a bit of a drive to get there im thinking this is an overnighter. They guys that i go hunting with are comming so we are all set up with a mess tent and wood stove, so its not ruffing it that bad. You just need a sleeping bag, mabey a tent or parnerup with someone who has a tent, and lots of ammo ( and we can help you get that). We would probly leave on friday or saturday and come back the following day. At least a couple of people that im inviting have crew cab pickups or a suburban so we can arrange getting everyone over there without to many rigs.
I want to to something that all my friends would be able to participate in. I talked it over with a few people but I want to know what you guys would be most interested in doing. If you have any other ideas or comments feel free to let Jon or I know.

Shooting should be done at all bachelor parties.
This should be followed by general merriment, be it strippers, video games, or dancing (bleh)!
At some point, someone must become a drunken buffoon. This role is reserved for the groom unless he chooses to open it up to the rest of the party.
At no point are bachelor parties required to be sane, under control, or sedate. The rest of the poor man's life will be such, and it is your job to give him a proper sendoff. After all, you'll be seeing a lot less of him in the future.

ok guys our official animal slaughter day is April 6th and 7th, we will be loading up hopefully friday afternoon and heading to eastern Oregon to kill bunnies and the like, we are trying to keep the cost down but it may be 10-20$ just b/c of cost of food and gas. Other than that hope you are all living a good God honoring life and hope to see you then/there.

There has been a change of plans. The same weekend, sat. 7th we are going to go to muddy creek sporting club, just south of corvallis, for some skeet & clay target shooting then head back to crawfordsville for dinner and hang out for the evening.
The hunting trip over east would be a ton of fun but it is just to hard legistically. If you guys still want to make a trip over to shoot rabits and stuff that would be great but we will have to do it another weekend and it's not going to be apart of this occasion. Let me know if you guys still want to make a trip over and what date will work for you and we can go do it just the fun. Kc's dad just bought 20 arces in christmas vally and said we could stay there anytime we want.
The "batchelor party" will involve heading over to the sporting club about noonish and will cost $35 per person. It will take about 100-150 rounds of shotgun shells (4-6 boxes). I suggest getting them at bi-mart when they come on sale for $3-$3.50 a box or we can make a deal with Jack down at dandees and try to get a deal on a few cases. If you dont have a shotgun dont worry I have extras, just let me know so i can get one that will work the best for you. The club has about 40 different senerios/stations to shoot at and you can plan on shooting about 100 clays. Ive talk to some friends that have been there and they all say its awsome. Afterward we will head to one of my friends house in crawfordsville and BBQ some dinner and hang out. You can stay as long as you want or leave whenever. Sorry for the change in plans but this is a lot more feasable to do with 10-15 people.
Thanks, Joel Mather
PS: I still want to take you over to shoot rabits Jake, I gotta see that 5.7 in action also! Not to mention Im loading up some V-max ballistic tip bullets for the .223 and .243 DO I HEAR CHUNKAGE!

Sounds good still, as long as it involves firearms I don't have a shotty, I'd like to get one, but don't have the dough right now. We'll definitely have to take a trip sometime and head east, I had a blast that time we went during spring break.

I made the reservations for the sporting clays place at 2:00 pm, It should take about 2 hours so that should put us back in crawfordsville around 5:00 to get some dinner cooking. You can buy shotgun shells at the place for $4.50 /per box. If you want Bi-Mart has them on sale this week through april 4th for $3.79 /per box. He said you should plan on shooting about 100 rounds or 4 boxes.

Thanks for coming everyone, It was a great time. Im glad we waited to shoot in the afternoon, the weather turned out great. The wind was moving the clays all over the place and made them even more difficult to hit. sorry you didn't make it Brent.
Thanks again and I will see you all this weekend!
